Update

Hi, folks! Yes, we still are working on the house, but much, much, slower now. The contractors have packed up their tools and moved on after we reached a stopping place ... mainly in constuction funding! Gosh, that's never happened to anyone before. ;-)

To "button up" the house while we wait for the money tree to grow, we have put a "five-year" patch on leaky roof parts, closed up the bat access points in the chimney, and caulked around the base of the water board. (We, being Tom and Adriel.)

Dave has worked industriously all summer to ensure a supply of dry wood for our wood burning furnace/insert, which we installed at the beginning of this year.

That's the snow blower under a tarp in the middle of the "wood room." Yes, sir, we're ready.
