Open floor plan has changed the way we live!

We are enjoying having the walls gone between the fireplace room, kitchen and sunroom. From all these spaces we now feel a part of the outside.

It's all a bit raw because we still have studs showing where we haven't finished the wall yet. And it's all open shelving for now in the kitchen. We are evaluating what stuff we really need, and what we don't use often is getting shelved in the basement (or "down cellar," as we say in upstate New York).

There is R7.5 of insulation on the outside, to be supplemented when we finish the interior. But when we fired up the wood furnace it was very cozy, reaching 84 degrees in the sunroom in the afternoon.
