Wall Demolition

We decided to have Tom and Adriel finish removing the wall between the living room and kitchen & dining room. The night before we invited Dave and Laura over for "dinner and demolition." After the last course we all got sledge hammers and crow bars. In about an hour we had removed a lot of the paneling, most of the fake brick on the kitchen side, and punched a hole through the wall. Success! It's really changed the way we are using the space, plus it will make it easier to heat this winter with the new fireplace insert.

Wow! This is what I've been waiting for. You really did it, and doesn't it look huge? Now it becomes a whole new house. I can hardly wait to see it.

So, is that a stand alone island between the kitchen and the great room? I'm looking out your sunroomm windows from the corner by the fireplace. You'll have your view from most of the downstairs.
I love your blog.

So, are you on your own to do the inside, or will the group help ,too? We've kinda gotten used to having them arorund like part of the family.

Hope you'll continue the progress on the blog.

Congratulations on the so far;-)
