Hi,
So what will be the targeted use or purpose of this space under the deck? Isn't that the sauna window on the left? Looks like this area will be great shelter from the heat of summer or the rain and snow.

I'd love to get a nice long picnic table and have those meals you see in movies about Italy, where everybody passes platters of pasta, fruit, olives, tomatoes, fresh basil & buffalo mozzarella drenched in olive oil, fresh figs, cheese and bottles of wine. There should be lots of laughing and a little singing.

Do you remember when Mana and Charlie lived up the hill on Moraga Road. Do you remember the big swing and the wonderful terrace where we had picnics? I can still see Charlie grilling and Mana fixing all the attendant foods. And one more memory. The long picnic table, big enough for all of us... and do you remember what we ate on? She had huge long picnic table cloths I have two of them plus the one Mom made for me when she got the the sewing machine that made it possible to embroider edges, intricate stuff on most everything.
The two of Mana's cloths are cotton; she ironned them but now that they are mine they don't get so pampered. One is sort of natural white with an orange border. The other is white with apples all over it.
And just think how nicely the orange bordered cloth would go with your sunset on the lake!

I kinda think you should have them.
What do you think? Sure go well with Italian food...
