This nice red pex tubing means that Todd has started the process of plumbing the house for radiators.

We're switching from forced air heat, and we hope it keeps the dust down. The boiler will heat water for the radiant floor in the east studio, laundry and bath, and in the west lower entry and sauna. (I know, radiant heating in the floor of a suana seems redundant.) The boiler will also heat hot water for the house. The boiler has sealed combustion, which mean no more backdrafting of exhaust into the basement from the existing gas hot water heater. We have also outfitted the garage with piping for a future solar hot water heater, which could tie in with the hot water tank.
In the picture above, the boiler box is on the right, the water tank is on the left. The tanks are stackable, to save valuable floor space in the utility room!

Hi,
This should keep down both the dust and the pollens and other allergens. You'll be able to breathe and not get a red nose. When you finish this gigantic project and go back and read the whole thing, I wonder if it will amaze you as much as it does me how much forethought this all takes.
