The crew from Countryside Stove of Syracuse is here to install an FPX 33 Elite wood burning insert, for heating the first floor of the house.
It weighs 500 pounds, and the special dolly weighs 200 pounds. As Kyle said, "The special hoist doesn't make it easy, it just makes it possible."
Marvin and Kyle installed the chimney insert, somehow maneuvering up a snowy 8:12 sloped roof.
The fireplace chimey wasn't quite big enough, so they had to do some creative cutting with a Milwaukee saws-all.
The fireplace box will take a 24" log. The smaller size makes it more efficient, Kyle says.
Tom Lonsky showed up on his day off to provide electricity for the stove, stopping at not one, but two hardware stores to get the special conduit. After lots of figuring how to install an outlet in a tiny space, and peering down the ash cleanout, they decided that the only thing that would work was a long extension cord. Hmmm. Sorry, Tom, that you had to travel through the snow and cold to plug into an extension cord. Sigh.

You have hired amazing people who go the second mile for you. Has it occurred to you that you draw to you the kind of people that you are?
Amen
