Sweeping up

The crew shovels and sweeps up the debris from knocking down the wall.
Tom gave us several options for the demo. He said we could use different kinds of saws, one kind would produce a lot of dust, one kind would produce a lot of exhaust fumes. He was hoping that they could just knock it down.
Tom tested the wall with a 12 pound hammer, but it didn't dent the concrete and he was worried that Mr. Hommel had filled the cores. But a couple of whacks with the 16 pound hammer were able to punch through the block.
So Tom and Adriel on hammers and Zack on wheelbarrow duty, and it didn't take long at all.
You gotta love demolition.

Do you watch Extreme Makeover Home Edition? Now that's demo. All the prep for demo is done before you see it on TV so they can bring in a huge monster of machinery and crunch, it's flat in about a minute.
Then comes sweeping it all up. Are you going to recycle any of that? It's amazing what you are reusing, like the beautiful brick pavers you found.
