The scope of work today is the south west wall of the house. There was a lot of rot and damage in the structure here, so it will get new studs. Tom found remnants of a honeycomb over the door (I remember the humming sound several years ago).

The biggest job is jackhammering out the brick steps. The steps had started to crumble, the wrought iron railings had separated from the brick and it had become unsafe. Also, we need to demo the steps in order to install new footing drains and put waterproofing on the south wall of the basement.

Will you be building out from the doorway to make a sheltered entry/mudroom for taking off boots etc.?
