The wood has arrived:
Locust posts for the vertical structure, unplaned larch for the dimensional lumber.
The deck boards (top) have been planed smooth.
You could say that the locust has a "smaller carbon footprint" than some logged lumber ... Cory Shilleff hired a team of mules to skid the logs out of the forest. (Turns out it was more economical, too.)
